Update your Facebook status via Google+ without an extension

I am pretty sure there are either chrome extensions or multiple account software out there that can do this, you can do this without an extension using the following steps:

1) Log on to your Facebook account.
2) Visit http://www.facebook.com/mobile/.
3) On the right of the page an email should be shown, copy this email (this email should be secret):



4) Log on to your Google+ account, create a circle and then add the email to that circle.
5) While posting add the circle your created and make sure that you check notify by email (important), and that's all !





PS: I highly suggest the circle the name of the circle wouldn't be Facebook, it would something that nobody cares about at all, if your Google+ account is compromised, the hacker will be able to post on your wall without touching your facebook account.

Shorten Google+ Profile URL

Since Google doesn't allow you to shorten your Google+ profile URL, Google Plus Nick is a service that enables you make your profile URL shorter (Google Plus Nick), the username could be at least 3 characters or 25 at most. e.g http://gplus.to/omarmohsen

Note: There is no authentication required, you just copy your profile id, choose a username, and link them both.

Some people hate GRUB, I believe since they think it is a big geeky, remember that GRUB is very powerful, thats what it makes it different, thats why we use GRUB, so managing it might be challenging for some users . If you think you cannot manage it through command line , you can  manage GRUB thorough the startup manager, to install use the following command:

sudo apt-get install startupmanager

Hardy vs Lucid

The number of Lucid Lynx users today at 3:51 PM Egypt time on ubuntucounter.geekosphical.net is about 81884.

The number of Hardy Heron users on May 30th 2008 is about 1100.

Both are LTS versions , both released on the same date , users number difference is almost 74X .

I understand that the Ubuntu counter is not really accurate since you have to register, this is considered as a big progress for Ubuntu, I hope this rate continues so we can solve bug #1. ( https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1 )

My First Post.

This is my first post, I hope it would be a good start. I will talk about my blog and its incentives.

a)I will talk about Technology generally, not Information Technology only , although it's my specialization.

b)I will also try to introduce people to Linux , promote it, and help their users according to my knowledge.

c)Yes, I support Linux , I do not tolerate the concept of monopoly , yet I believe I'm not extremist , since I hate extremism in any kind.

d)I would help people use Ubuntu (A popular Linux distro), specifically new users, and users who are natives of my country, since I am a member of  a LoCo team (ubuntu-eg).

e)I have personal reasons to open this blog, mainly improving my writing skills.
